About me

I hold both a Postgraduate Diploma and an MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Regent’s University London, and am an individual member of BACP. I also hold a Certificate in Counselling Skills with Children using the Arts from IATE, and have an interest in incorporating the arts and creativity within my practice as a therapist.

In addition to this core training, I have completed the following additional training:

  • Loss and Bereavement Training, Cruse Bereavement Care

  • A Compassionate Approach to Working with Anxiety, Bramham Therapy

  • Introduction to Therapeutic and Creative Writing, Professional Writing Academy

Before becoming a therapist, my professional life was in education, as a primary school teacher, researcher in musical identity, and university lecturer in creativity and music education.

Existential Therapy

Existential therapy invites us to explore the questions of who we are and how we are choosing to live in the world. It recognises our capacity for growth whilst offering a space to explore our responses to unavoidable limitations. Existential therapy focuses on the context for issues and challenges we are facing, encouraging us to put the feelings we have about our lives into words and to understand the meaning of thoughts, feelings, behaviours or symptoms we are experiencing. Through this exploration, we can discover the options we have available to us and the choices we can make about how we live our lives.
